Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I would like to thank every parent and carer with all my heart for your support and understanding this term. It has been one of the hardest first terms I have experienced since starting as a teacher 15 years ago at Woodlands. But I can truly say that I am blown away by the resilience and strength our children and staff have shown in this tough term and the ‘need’ and ‘want’ to learn and catch up was evident in all that was asked from the children.

Although this festive season might not be like the ones you are used to and it will look a bit different around your dinner tables on Christmas day, I want you to still make the most of it and enjoy time with your children. Please stay safe and look after yourself and I am hopeful that 2021 will be great!

Track and Trace over the Christmas break

The school has a responsibility to continue Track and Trace (up to the 24th December) for any school-based COVID positive cases. Therefore can we ask all parents, if your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of being in school and then receives a positive COVID test to contact the school on 07970895729📞.  The school office will be closed so please use the number provided.  Please call or leave a message with your child’s full name, class, and contact number and a member of staff will contact you.

Parents, please be aware that should we receive a confirmed case and your child is deemed to be a close contact, your child would be asked to self isolate in line with government guidance.

RESPECT badges

After the holidays, we will host our next round of RESPECT badge assemblies. We are really looking forward to celebrating our children’s successes!

Christmas Holidays

School closes for the Christmas holidays on Friday 18th December.
