A day in the life of 6H!
Wow! What a start to Year 6 we have had in 6H. We are already loving all of our learning and can’t wait to learn so much more. In English, we have been reading a book called ‘Trash’ – it is sooooooo good! It is about two boys that work on a dumpsite and one day they find a mysterious bag with a key and a map inside. The book is really fantastic and we’re enjoying all the twists and turns. In Maths, we have been working hard learning about place value including rounding up to 10 million and some tricky halfway numbers!
Our new topic called ‘In Your Element’ has been mind-blowing, it’s been that good! We have learnt about The Mayans and how they used to have their heads chopped off if they lost a game of football. Yes really!! We’ve also been doing some art by a famous South American artist called Joaquin Torres Garcia. Check out some of our photos to see some examples. We really have had a marvellous start to Year 6 and we’re really looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store!
Love from 6H
