Student Voice Conference at Co-op HQ

Some of our year 4, 5 and 6 pupils were invited to attend the Trust’s pupil voice conference on Friday 10th June.

The event took place at The Co-op Group headquarters, One Angel Square in Manchester. The day was designed for the children to give their opinions on what schools should prioritise to make them better places and what makes Co-op Academy Woodlands a great place to learn.

There was lots of information to take in, with presentations about becoming a Co-op Young Leader, how to help local communities and what makes an effective school council.

After a delicious picnic lunch, the children were then presented with some very special gold Co-op badges to thank them for all their hard work.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our student pioneers to visit the Co-op HQ to share their thoughts and ideas. The children were great role models and did a wonderful job representing the academy.
