Our first Community Iftar

Woodlands proudly hosted its first-ever Community Iftar on Tuesday 11th March, bringing together families to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The event was a beautiful evening of reflection, unity, and generosity, as we gathered to break fast, pray, and share a delicious meal.

Families from across our school community came together to enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere, highlighting the spirit of togetherness that Ramadan represents. The evening also provided an opportunity to give back, with generous donations collected for Islamic Relief, supporting those in need.

"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special. From our incredible team who worked hard behind the scenes to all the families who attended and donated so generously – your kindness and support truly made this evening one to remember."

Mrs Akhtar, who organised the event

The success of our Community Iftar has set the stage for an annual tradition at Woodlands.

"It was wonderful to see our community come together in such a meaningful way. The warmth, generosity, and togetherness of the evening were truly inspiring. We are delighted to make this an annual event at Woodlands."

Mrs Clark, Headteacher

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and made this event a memorable celebration. We look forward to many more Community Iftars in the years to come! We'd also like to say a huge thank you, and well done to Najwa and Algali who shared some readings from the Quran, and Kia who led the call to prayer.
