Reception visit Nell Bank
On Tuesday 14th May, Reception visited Nell Bank to take part in lots of outdoor activities.
The children explored the tunnels to find out what it would be like for animals that live underground! After that, the children spent time pond dipping and caught some amazing creatures including: ponds skaters, pond snails and even some great crested Newts!
Reception halos make potions in the forest by finding the natural materials in the spell book.
They had a wonderful minibeast hunt, turning the logs gently to find out what would be underneath them. The children were so excited to find beetles, worms, woodlice and millipedes.
Finally, the children watched a Gruffalo show in the outdoor theatre. It was so much fun!
Thank you to the staff and all the volunteers that joined Reception for the day.
Have a look at what they got up to! 👇
