Welcome back! 🍂

We hope you all had a restful break and are as excited as we are about the busy and festive half-term ahead! As we settle back into our routines, we’re looking forward to all the wonderful learning, activities, and events planned for the next few weeks.

Next week is test week for Year 2 - Year 6, and we want to reassure you that our focus is on supporting each child to feel confident and do their best. Our teachers will be guiding students through their assessments with plenty of encouragement and understanding.

Please continue to encourage daily reading at home, as it’s a fantastic way to build both skills and confidence.

We’re also thrilled about some special events on the horizon, including a pantomime and Christmas shows, which are always a highlight of the term! We know these events bring a lot of joy to our students and families, and we can’t wait to see the children’s hard work come to life on stage.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Feel free to speak to your child’s teacher or give the school a call—we’re here to help in any way we can.

Let’s make this half-term a memorable one!

High Flyer Award 🏆

Each term, we celebrate children who have shown our RESPECT values and stood out for their resilience, effort and engagement. This half-term, Mrs Clark, Mr Trower, Mrs Richley and Miss Charles chose one child from each year group to earn our most prestigious award!

Well done to all of our High Flyers! We're so proud of you!

RESPECT Badge Assemblies 🏅

This week we celebrated our children's successes in our first RESPECT Badge assembly! We had an incredible number of children earning their Bronze RESPECT Badge; this is a real achievement in the first half-term of the school year! Well done to all our badge winners - keep it up!

Cut Music workshops in Year 6 🎤

This week, a group Year 6 children have been working with Cut Music and Music Box - Inspiring Voices to write a rap about the dangers around gang and knife crime. The children worked in groups to create lyrics, record their raps and then film a music video.

The children have worked incredibly hard and the results are fantastic! We can't wait to share the finished video with you!
