Ramadan Mubarak 🌙
We want to wish all our families Ramadan Mubarak! You may have seen some decorations in our main entrance to signify the blessed month of Ramadan that is taking place!
Road Safety Sessions 🦺
This week, Leeds City Council Road Safety Team visited Woodlands to teach our children about staying safe near and when crossing roads. Year 4 and Year 2 ventured out onto the streets to practise staying safe and following the green cross code: think, stop, look and listen!
Year 6 at the Maths Olympics! 🥇
Well done to Esther, Calton, Mustafa and Haider who represented Team Woodlands at the Co-op Academies Maths Olympics at One Angel Square in Manchester. The children took part in four rounds of various maths problem-solving skills, working together as a team to solve the challenges as quickly and accurately as possible! The children scored a massive 162 points across the four rounds! We are very proud of them!
8th -17th March 2024 is British Science Week! 🔬👩🔬👨🔬

Book Fair Book Total 📚
#TeamWoodlands, you are amazing! We've raised £167.24 to spend on books for school. Thank you for joining us at our annual book fair this year!
Attendance Prize for this half-term 🐣🍫
A child who misses school just twice per month will lose out on 18 days’ education across the school year – that’s nearly four weeks.
This half-term, our children are earning stamps for every day they are in school. These stamps keep a record for the whole-school attendance prize which will take place just before we break up for Easter!
The prize this half-term is laser quest in school! The more children are in school, the more time they will earn playing laser quest! We will also be doing random Easter Egg prize drops throughout the half term.
We have a special Easter Egg prize drop taking place on 22nd March... Make sure your child is in school to be in with a chance of winning!
