Key dates and events 📆

We've got lots of exciting events taking place this year. Have a look at our school calendar to find out what we are getting up to. If you have any questions, pop in and ask to find out more.

Reminders for parents and carers ⭐
  • Correct uniform: Please ensure your child is in the correct school uniform every day to promote a sense of pride and belonging.
  • Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial. Missing school means missing out on valuable learning and time with friends.
  • Daily reading: Encourage reading at home each day to strengthen their literacy skills and foster a love for books.
  • Concerns: If you have any worries or concerns, please don't hesitate to speak to a member of our staff team. We’re here to help and to make sure that your child feels supported and confident in their learning journey.

Family Bingo Night! ✨

Join us for our first family event of the year!

We'd like to invite parents, carers, children and family members to attend a Bingo night!

There will be a range of prizes to win on the day and all the money raised will go towards the trips and experiences we can offer the children.

🕞What time? 3:30 – 4:30 pm

📍Where? The school hall

🎫3 tickets for 50p. 1 full strip of tickets for £1.

If you'd like to attend, please let the office know.

VR Experience 🥽

This week, children in Year 3, 4 and 6 are taking part in a VR Experience about their topics. Y3 explored Stone Age settlements, Y4 volcanoes and Y6 space! Mr Trower couldn't resist having a try too!

October is #BlackHistoryMonth

In our whole-school assembly on Tuesday, Miss Charles told #TeamWoodlands about her family who moved to England in the 1940s from Dominica!

At Woodlands, we're excited to celebrate and honour the rich history, achievements and contributions of Black communities throughout the UK and the world.

Speak Out, Stay Safe with NSPCC 👏

Last week, the NSPCC visited #TeamWoodlands for their Speak Out Stay Safe programme! In these workshops, children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a safe adult or Childline.

A massive thank you to the volunteers for spending the day with us.

Year 1 explore our local area 🏠

Year 1 had a great time last week exploring our local area as part of their topic! A massive thank you to all the parent volunteers that gave up their time to join the children today too.

Well done to this week's RESPECT Point winners! 🏆
