Woodlands Winter Warmer
Woodlands Winter Warmer Brings Community Together
On Thursday 19th December, our school hall was transformed into a festive haven for our first ever Woodlands Winter Warmer event. Parents and staff came together to enjoy a morning of community spirit, with stalls offering food, "new-to-you" clothing and uniform, as well as hats, coats, gloves, and scarves to help keep the winter chill at bay.
Organised by our dedicated Academy Community Pioneer, Miss Heron, the event was a resounding success. Miss Heron shared her thoughts on the day:
“The Winter Warmer was all about supporting our families and creating a sense of community. It was heart-warming to see so many people come together, not only to pick up essentials but to connect and support one another.”
The event’s success was made possible by the incredible efforts of our volunteers, who helped set up, run the stalls, and ensure everything ran smoothly. A huge thank you goes out to Miss Heron and every volunteer who gave their time and energy to make the day so special. The smiles and gratitude from our families were a testament to the positive impact of their hard work.
At Woodlands, we understand that winter can be a challenging time for many families. If you need support with food, clothing, or other essentials, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help and ensure that every member of our school community feels supported and cared for.
