World Book Day 2025

On Thursday, 6th March, Woodlands was filled with the magic of stories as we celebrated World Book Day! From the moment the children arrived, excitement was in the air as they immersed themselves in a day full of reading, storytelling, and book-themed activities.
A highlight of the day was our first-ever Reading Café, where we welcomed parents and families to share in the joy of reading together. Seeing children and their families enjoying books side by side made the event a huge success, and we look forward to making this a regular part of our celebrations.
Mrs Richley, our English Lead, shared her thoughts on the day:
"It was wonderful to see our children so engaged with books and storytelling. Encouraging a love of reading is at the heart of what we do, and having families join us for our first Reading Café made this World Book Day extra special."
A huge thank you to Parentkind for their generous donation of costumes, ensuring that all our children could fully take part in the celebrations. We also want to extend our gratitude to Mrs Richley and Mr Trower for their hard work in securing these fantastic donations.
World Book Day was a fantastic celebration of reading, and we can’t wait to continue inspiring our children to develop a lifelong love of books!
Take a look at what we got up to! 📚
