Woodlands Weekly | 10th June 2022

Welcome back! We hope everyone in our community had a safe, resful half term break. It has been wonderful to see so many children back in school this week. You may have noticed our KS2 playground is being refitted; this will be completed soon and it has been wonderful to see the children sharing our new playground equipment and enjoying time outside together.

As we start a new half term, please remember:

  • Children should come to school wearing correct uniform every day
  • On PE days, children should bring their PE kit in a bag and wear their uniform to school
  • Attendance matters. Make sure your child is here every day
  • Pay any dinner money in a named, sealed envelope at the main school office
  • Make sure your child has their book bag with them every day and to read at home
  • Keep an eye on our events as we have lots of trips, visitors and end of year performances coming up.

Attendance Raffle Prizes

As it is the final half term of the year, our attendance team have put together a fantatic hamper full of goodies for you and your children to enjoy together. This bumper prize hamper includes: scooters and safety pads, helmets, picnic blankets, water bottles and much more – everything you need for a great summer’s day out! To be in with a chance of winning, make sure your children are here every day. The raffle could be drawn at any point from now to the end of term. Good luck!

RESPECT Badge Assemblies

This week, we’ve had our next round of RESPECT badge assemblies. It is great to get together and celebrate our children’s acheivements and to share how we can show RESPECT in everything we do. Well done to all our winners! We have one more badge assembly at the end of the year – ask your children what they need to do to earn their next badge.

Little Book Hut

You may have noticed a small, green, wooden hut has appeared by our main entrance. This is our Little Book Hut! The Children’s Book Project have donated over 600 books for our children to take home and share with their families, free of charge. Over the next couple of weeks, your children will be invited to come to the book hut and select a book to take home. Make sure they bring their voucer with them, which they will be given on the day.
