Woodlands Weekly | 7 March

Welcome back!

It has been wonderful to see our children and families return after the February half term. We’ve had lots happen already and are so proud of our children’s hard work, care and resilience.

Please make sure your children are here every day, with their book bags and reading books. Children should come to school in correct uniform and bring PE kit to change into on their allocated days. PE days for our year groups are:

  • Monday – Year 2 and Year 4
  • Tuesday – Year 3 and Year 6
  • Wednesday – Year 1 and Reception
  • Thursday – Year 5 and Nursery

RESPECT Badge Assemblies

We had our next round of Badge Assemblies for the last half term. Our children work very hard to earn RESPECT points and we are very proud of all our badge winners. Well done!

Attendance Raffle

This half term’s raffle prize is an Easter hamper, full of Easter treats and lots of goodies. Make sure your child is here every day to be in with a chance of wining! The raffle will be drawn at any time from now to the end of the term. You’ve got to be in it to win it!

World Book Day

Thursday 3rd March was World Book Day! Our children and staff came to school dressed as their favourite book characters and took part in a range of activities on this year’s theme ‘you are a reader!‘ Don’t forget that our book fair is taking place until Monday 7th March 2022.

Take a look at some of the wonderful costumes and activities from this year’s World Book Day!

This week is British Science Week
