Our Fairtrade Festival

Our Fairtrade Festival

On Friday we opened the doors for our Fairtrade Festival.

Each year group had their own stall with different activities or treats to buy. Running these were our Fairtrade Ambassadors, made up of our school council and volunteers from each class.

Using Fairtrade ingredients donated by our local Co-ops each class turned them into treats and games ready for this event. Year 1 became a bun factory! They made piles of buns, each decorated with different toppings.

Not only was this event a great way to find out about the importance of Fairtrade, it’ll also help a great cause. Everything raised will be going to our nominated charity, Just a Drop. They provide people access to water in areas where safe water is hard to get.

Thank you to our wonderful local Co-op stores for their support.

The hall was jam packed – thank you to our brilliant parents, carers and children who stopped by to explore our Fairtrade Festival!

Update: We raised £164.67 in just 30 minutes! Thank you everyone.
