Sports Day

Sports Day

This week, has been sports crazy. Wednesday, we held our sports day for year 1, 2 and 3, Thursday was nursery and reception’s turn and today we finished with year 4, 5 and 6. All three events have been a showcase of our children’s sportsmanship. They’ve all been super competitive, trying hard to win, but they’ve all kept it friendly. We had a super selection of sporty activities: sprinting, sack race, egg and spoon race and class vs class tug of war.

In true Team Woodlands spirit, we’re all a little competitive, especially in the class versus class tug of war! Miss Furness was very happy her class won for their year.

For the first two days, we had a team of year 6 children helping with the events. These children worked really hard and showed just how mature they are by helping the younger children. We couldn’t have ran the sports days without them. Thank you to these sports day assistants.

All three days brought in a crowd. Thank you to our parents, carers and other visitors. The children loved having you there cheering them on and we hope you enjoyed the activities.
